Grandstream Android App?

I’m hearing some rumblings about Grandstream Android apps coming.  I’ve found one so far, the Total Control app which works with Grandstream’s GXV3615 Series cameras.  It’s a pay app, and it’s not as easy to use as the IP Vision app for iPhone, but it does work and for Android users it’s at least a start.  Stay tuned for more.

TTrix publishes the IPVision app for iPhone.  This is the app that allows you to monitor Grandstream IP cameras. Click here for more information.

They put up an awesome online demo here using Panasonic cameras as an example.  The app works the same with Grandstream cameras and it’s really fun to use.

Use Your iPhone to Monitor Grandstream IP Cameras

I’ve been holding out on upgrading to the iPhone for years because (a) I was relatively satisfied with my Verizon service and (b) the iPhone didn’t really boast any compelling features that I couldn’t find in a Droid or Blackberry.   Well, I’m running out of excuses and this news from Grandstream may be the last straw.

A popular iPhone app called “IP Vision” now allows you to monitor your Grandstream IP surveillance cameras anywhere, anytime.  I borrowed an iPhone to investigate, and much to my “dismay” the app is easy to configure, the picture quality is excellent, etc.  Grandstream even added this special configuration guide to their new website to make things easier.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar app for Blackberry or Android in the not-so-distant future, but can I really wait? Damn you Grandstream, I think I’m getting an iPhone.
